Looks like the war starts tomorrow

Be real would yas...They are effectively unarmed. 200...2000...2,000,000. Whats the difference. We're about to kill a lot of people who already dropped their guns but might still have a knife... :mope:

It is better than Canada. :eh:

Canada's got a bunch over there, including a sizable chunk of their naval assets. Non combatants for the moment, but that's likely to change in a hurry. They might even get drafted for UN duty, as the UN started a major pullout of all assets today. Canadians might well be the only peacekeeping force in place for this mess.

So HMCS Iroquois was able to find a replacement SeaKing :headbang:

They shipped without. They'll pickup the HMCS Montreal's seaking when they get there. They shipped the same day as Fredricton.

That puts the HMCS Montreal and HMCS Winnipeg on site, with the HMCS Iroquois, HMCS Fredricton, and HMCS Regina steaming en route. And the HMCS Preserver too.

That's a quarter of their destroyers, a third of their frigate, and half their supply ships. I don't see anyone else putting that much of their naval assets on the line.

Out of how many? I'm talking percentage-wise.

BTW there's no public word on the placement of Canada's 4 submarines, but with that much naval hardware in the area, I'd suspect that at least one canadian sub is in the region.

Jeez, I've got Royal navy, Canadian navy, and now US navy sites open on my comp. If anyone's checking what I'm doing, I'm gonna get a visit at work tomorrow for sure.

How about some linkage for them sites?

The US Navy site isn't very clear on what's where. I'm assuming that where there's a carrier, there's a battle group, but what ships make it up aren't indicated.

Prof, I believe its 1 Battleship, 2 destroyers, and several support friggates. Not sure on the total.

Hes an ass...

Considering that Iraq only has like 8 friggates that make up their whole Navy, I think its a slight case of overkill to have all that hardware there.
