Radio, TV, internet, newspaper, magazines. Find one to suit your needs. Find programming or content that agrees, or disagrees, with you. You have choices. Rep Pelosi, among others, are looking at returning to a old & unreliable set of rules.

The Fairness Doctine.

When TV & radio was still new, this was an FCC edict. It called for equal time for ideas. Wonderful idea. Allow both sides to present it's information & allow the listener to decide.

We ended up with Recipe Trader. Helens' Helpful Hints. Saturday Car Talk.

Hardly a single political show to be found. NPR had it's shows. If you wanted to counter an NPR opinion, they'd allow you time. Usually at 3am on a Saturday night. Neither NPR nor your altenative view got ratings. That's why NPR is government supported.

Ronald Reagan nixed the Unfairness Doctrine. It brought forth Rush Limbaugh. Imus. Bill Press. Alan Colmes. Rachel Maddow. Glenn Beck. It saved AM radio.

Love it or hate it, talk radio has its place.

Where do you stand on talk radio?

I don't watch TV..
Radio and the internet is my source for news and opinion pieces.

CBC Radio1 :D - Nice mix of political, social, science, economics etc..
Local radio (CJAD800 - a bit fluffy)
