Well i did it...

Tried my skill on a 1500cc motor bike, got 2 scarred knees now  most of evening in hospital, not worth it  shoulda stuck to my 400 class.:headbang:

Its not even scratched, Honda Goldwing or something, basically i started it and moved off and toppled over, burning one knee on the engine and scraping the hell out of the other. Was riding a 305cc superhawk just quite fine before though :D

We call those Lead Wings for a good reason. I ride a stone age 1100 sportbike myself ('82 GS1100E). It's probably a lot heavier than your 400, but more manageable than a Goldwing. Now you'll have more scars to show off to the ladies. :beerbang:

ohh yes, i just remembered, theres the little detail of me not ever having a valid license for motorbikes, only cars

Now wait just a minute, you live in London, she lives in Barrie. Haven't you ever heard of creative lying? :D

BTW, is that Superhawk the old '67 model or is there a newer one we don't get in the states? My second bike was a '67 305 Superhawk.

Leslie, I have been riding motorcycles since 1972 and I have only had three get-offs (on the street). Never seriously injured. I get tired of hearing how dangerous they are. They aren't.

67 model, also took a 98' 1000 superhawk/ VTR firestorm for a spin before my fall, man that things got voom! my mates dad has a few bikes, and hes off to spain for the week ;)

Sometime's the boy ain't too swift

Yeah, I know that bikes aren't in themselves dangerous...it's the people on the bikes...and knowing Justin as I do, Justin ought without question NEVER drive a bike. :p

teeheehee, I guess I'm not as old as I thought
*points and laughs*

*thinks better of it and runs away* :bolt:

Had over 15 years on bikes myself. Love the ride of a Goldwing. But. You gotta remember that you're not gonna muscle a bike that big. The engine is near as big as that in my Mirage. And bigger than that of many british cars. You gotta finesse it.

But any weight class change is tough. Style change is a bitch too. I did most of my lessons on a 250 custom. When I went for the test, it was on a 535 lowrider. Man did I frag that up. But lesson learned, I aced it the second time round.

i swear i only did 70mph tops
When I was racing, I did 160mph+ on an F-USA GSXR-1100 that ran on alcohol. You could barely keep it running at the start line, but when you took off....:eek5:
