I always figured that the basis of war was a simple 'I like your stuff and I'm jealous enough to kick your ass for it', kind of thing. The religion basis for war probably dint come about until societies hit at least a few dozen in base population.

That was a Nazi war about power. The only role the jews played were being rounded up and slaughtered. The Jews were mearly used as a focal point for Hitlers hatred toward mankind.

Well economics played a role there, since the Jews controlled all the wealth of Germany.
 
yeah, and i will tell that to all the deads in WW1 and WW2, all the independence wars fought in history, all deads in the Roman empire, Napoleon empire, etc......etc.......etc........
 
k, i went too far......

i wasn't talking abotu capitalism anymore, i was talking about "money" and therefore power, those two things have brought more dead than any other thing.
 
His argument is that the roughly half a billion dead in the name of Communism is better than the 2-3 billion killed for all of the collective remainder reasons of economics, territory, and religion combined.
 
Power is a separate issue aside from monies. Power is the great overall connector sub-reason for economics, religion, insanity, and politics.

either way, if it wasn't money, religion or territory, it would be something else. is in our nature to kill the others :(
 
Socialism has only been around killing for a single century. Original sin has been mucking around for a heckuva lot longer.
 
without religion, power, money or land, what's left, besides sex? we are a decidely brutal species, but there is usually something behind it. what would happen without one of those influences?
