Crack is still seen as a "celebrity" drug used by the "rich vain and beautiful" by the uninitiated totally clean over here...

Hopefully this will deter those late teens from trying it to emulate their idols!

This campaign is being used in the UK...I think it would work here, too, but Yasmine Bleeth would be a better photo for after...
 
We have pics of cancerous lungs and tongues on our smoke packs. It does nothing to deter anyone. People are too mememe nownownow to worry about what won't happen to them 5 years down the road.

Actually, Les, it did boost a small cottage industry. Slip covers for Cig packs were all the rage for a bit. 'Specially comic ones, with slogans like, "Smoking pot will get you pregnant, and showing (in that 1/3 pack window) a woman in labour, her face all sweaty and contorted.

Cigarettes can make you impotent? I've been smoking for almost 20 years...how much longer can I , erm, keep this up? :D
 
I was looking at those this morning. I think she actually had a heroin/crack combo addiction. Drug addiction is drug addiction though. Once you're hooked you'll settle for anything to relieve the pain. Sad stuff that doesn't discriminate.
