work it through the undersized hole in your shorts? or
yank your shorts down enough to let it hang?

Yanker here, dealing with the hole is too much trouble. On a related note, button fly jeans are a real pain when you're drinking beer.

BTW, I've heard European (pun unintended) shorts don't have the hole (in depth research, I heard Dan Akroyd say so in Loose Cannons). True? What about briefs? Just curious.
