what, exactly, does one have to eat to make enough flammable gasses build up in the intestinal tract? that is scary...
 
Oh yes... These kinds of reports are very real. There are all manner of stories where fires break out in the high oxygen atmposhere of the surgical room when using a laser scapel. The scapel is hot enough to ignite anything. Most incidents are when the surgery is in someones throat. They already have a near pure oxygen tube set up in there when the surgeon clips the line and turns it into a pressurized blowtorch going right into the poor bastards lungs. Death is pretty much a certainty.
