Hmm, my computer is good to go on the DVD and Xvid part, and I'm working on TV right now.
About the PVR, how do you intend on doing it? Do you have an external box doing it or are you going to do it on your computer? See, while I do have cable TV for the AIW's TV card, that is mostly for local channels and weather. The real gem is satellite TV.
For some reason, there is no video card that will decode satellite or digital cable signals. So, either way, you need an external receiver. The basic model doesn't allow for digital audio, and because I want that, I decided on the next model. That particular one (

Can I use the Gemstar Guide for satellite TV? I used to have an ATI USB TV gadget, and it provided local listings for my cable just fine. I didn't check if it support satellite though.
Last question.. Does the Audigy2 do Dolby Digital decoding on incoming audio? Ie, if I take the Dolby Digital out on my receiver and plug it into the optical SPDIF in on the drive, will it do the signal decoding? (If I have analog speakers plugged in)
Oh wait, one more last question.

Which ATI MMC software should I install with the 9000 AIW? There are so many and the rage3d forums are a bit confusing. Lol
Thanks Mufu baby.
