Tap it once to get it rolling.

let it run forward about 2 little hills of the background graphics.

hold the mb down and let it start to crank the catapult down until santas hand is juuuust about to touch the wavy line at the bottom of the screen.

release the button and watch him zoom. hopefully you won't end up in the chasam.
