Practice makes perfect. Ugh, I really need to practice this a lot more. :eh: It looks really horrible.

Ignoring my crappy attempt, does anyone thing that Arabic calligraphy is just absolutely beautiful and stunning? For me beautiful Arabic writing is the most beautiful handwriting out there.

It would probably suit my handwriting style, that's pretty illegible too.

In fact, since I'm ambidextrous, it would probably suit my left hand perfectly. :)
 
Arabic looks awesome, I agree. Incidently it was the inspiration for the alien writing in "Taken".

I'd have to favour some forms of calligraphic Chinese instead though, due to my genetic bias. :cool:
 
I borrowed a Farsi language book from an Iranian I knew in high school and attempted to learn how to write in their version of the Arabic script. I didn't get very far with it, and I've forgotten almost all of what I learned. I remember that that line that comes straight down is called 'aleph', and I think that the symbol that looks like a backwards 'c' with a pointed back (second line down, middle letter in the second word from left) is their 'j'.
 
Arabic looks nice on paper, but easthetically speaking i prefer greek or elvish

Right on the first account, wrong on the second one :) If there is a dot below the backwards-pointy "c", then it is a j. Since there is no dot, it is simply a stressed h. That word is pronounced "uhibb".

He won't answer our questions so we'll just have to assume he's NOT an American.

Do you get turned on by ranting like that? :rolleyes: Since no one even bothers to spell my name correctly, and everyone is "if you this then you will do this," and I have absolutely no intention of replying just so that you and your buddies can rip it to bits. I got your PM LL. It's just like you to PM instead of taking your lumps on the board and dealing with the consequences of your words. Nice excuse but you're not fooling anybody.

I'm really having a hard time finding a reason to keep the contents of your PM private as you requested. I usually only respect the wishes of people that I actually respect. But I will say this, it does nothing to prove to me that you're an American.

And I hardly consider one sentence a rant and I have been SO MUCH LESS hard on you than other people have. Seems that you can dish it out pretty well but when you're called on it, you make excuses not to answer and run away. It's just what I would expect from you.

That's me too ... I write with my left hand, but can do lots with my right hand, like dribble/shoot a baskletball, and play guitar and 'ukulele ...

What Jeslek doesn't understand is that most people find irritating that any person claims to belong to a country and within 5 minutes claim to belong to another, and justify it with papers

I have many friends with dual citizenship, but they always claim to be mexicans (aka their hearts is with Mexico), plus they say they have the other citizenship just to make things easier. There's a big difference from saying "i am *place citizenship here*" to "i have the *place citizenship here* citizenship"

Pick a citizenship and name yourself like that, if you can't, then you belong to nobody's land. Kinda like Michael Jackson he is black but he doesn't look like one, and he looks white but he isn't one.
