The old trackball finally failed. So I invested as whole $20 in this bad boy. Ha-cha-cha-cha.

Still doesn't feel quite right. Feels too slick

I want to get the Logitech MX1000. There are a couple of basically equal versions just below it but I like the idea of a built in charger set up. Too bad it's eighty bucks.

$90 for a corded mouse? Unless you're a seriously heavy gamer, screw that.

I think I spent $70 for an MX700 when they were the latest thing. I actually bought two, so that when one craps out on me, I simply slap it in the charger, synch the other one, and keep going.

A friend bought one...I don't like it. I'd rather have mine over the shape and button placement of the MX1000. Had to hunt down software on the website to turn the sensitivity down. Without that, the pointer was stuck on fast with accelerate. A sneeze would traverse multiple monitors...Almost got a cramp trying to center and steady the pointer on an X.

Now maybe if they made one with a visible green laser....:D

my mouse cost $8 and i bought it at the grocery store XD
it's a black belkin mouse, corded and balled, with a scrollwheel.

we use a trackball at my work, and i'm actually really starting to like it o_O

I still have my old Trackman Marble+. I have to clean it more and more often though. Guess I'll get an optical one soon.

My wife just had to have a trackball a couple years ago. So I bought her the Microsoft Trackball, cost something like 60 bucks. She used it for a couple months, then a glass of sweet tea got dumped in/on it. Didn't work so well after that. Now she's using the original Dell mouse that came with the pc three years ago. No wheel, and it's got a ball. I keep meaning to buy her one, but she's damn picky about the one she wants. We actually found it once but she wouldn't buy it.

I use an IBM Navigator. I'm going to cry if it ever breaks.

Rub some sandpaper on it, it will be fine. :)

I have the MS Optical Intellimouse also. Love programming the buttons. I paid $90. for it too but I've had it for so many years.

Starya, is are those for work or home? I had them for work but they went through batteries like crazy. Sometimes they would just lose communication and I'd have to recycle them.

I'll get used to it. It's more a matter of now I'm having to control it with my wrist and elbow, when before, I never moved more than my fingertips.

I might soon find that I'm going back to pick up that trackball anyways.

Really? I would think you would use your wrist less with optical.

I hate trackballs. My father had one and I always brought my own mouse over if I knew I'd be working on it for a while.

Home. Only had them for a couple of months, so far so good. The mediaplayer controls don't always work properly though. Take forever to respond.

My M$ Wireless Optical Mouse 2.0 has really good battery life. But I figured out why: it can run off one battery but has two. That means it's really a 1.5V mouse, and the two batteries are hooked up in parallel instead of series. That nearly doubles the battery life.

I might consider them for home since I don't use it half as much as work. But I don't really have a need for wireless.

I just took a good look at the mouse. I've worn away the paint on the spot just below the back/forward buttons and on the left click button. Is that enough of a reason to try to find a green optical mouse?
