I'm pretty old, 27.

I still say things like, "That's rad". When I'm hanging out with younger folks, they have no idea what the word "rad" means, they may know there was a movie made with that title but have probably never used the word seriously.

But on the other hand, I can say that I've never used the words "phat" or "the bomb". In fact I find them somewhat lame. "Rad" is just rad.

Ingrained linguistic slang will pretty much follow you until the day you die. Everyone is a combination of the local dialect as well as the broad social trend slang. One may still learn (or be tainted by) new words... but rarely forgets the old ones.

I do. 25 was hard, because I was, then, officially "almost 30".

I was just 18 years old wasn't I?? Where did it go?
