a pitiful sight

The foundation where I work houses an intermediate/high school. Today, during their break, I see a girl on the volleyball court playing by herself. She serves the ball across the net and walks to the other side and serves the ball back. She been doing this for a good 1/2 hour. Back and forth, back and forth.

When I went outside to ask some of the kids why no one is playing with her, they say she's not a nice person so no one wants to hang with her.

Well yeah, that too, but think about it, at least she's on the winning team finally and not standing there waiting to be picked and then finally picked but put out in left field where nobody hits, and if anybody does hit the shortstop runs out in the field and gets the ball anyway and you never get to bat or run or nothing.

Huh? What? Oh, sorry.

that's ok. i see what you mean.

but i kicked all their asses when i got that one opportunity. and then i walked away.

If I was in her shoes, I would be in the computer lab by myself on the 'net ... oh wait, that's what I'm doing now :retard:

:D

I never did kick their asses, I live with the satisfaction that most of them work at gas stations or McDonalds. That's enough for me.

HEhe thats good... :D

I was picked on at school a bit I guess. Not picked on as in bullied, but people used to play pranks on me and that stuff. I also got caned the most (heh no surprise there eh?) and us guys used to compare our butts to see who got it worst... Is that weird or what? :p

I will always be one who tends to feel deeply for the "underdog".

Hard for me to laugh, coz, although many folks put themselves in that positin by their own poor behavior among others, let's face it, that's a picture of someone who needed a friend to look beyond her "transgressions", an' still offer a hand of friendship.............

..........geez I've been there too many times myself, by my own bad choices.........guess I'm jus' thankful for the one's who were there, not to patronize me, but to acknowledge my offenses an' still see my "possibilities". :)

..........least she still had the courage to pick the ball up again............

yeah ... i just felt for her playing out there alone ... that's why i asked the kids and tried to make them go out and play too.

Funny Neither my Primary or High School had things like swings or Volly ball/ Net ball/ Basket ball courts or even Rugby Field (That you were alowed on) We just had a big field or just sat around the school. We aren't even alowed in the so called computer center. :mad2:
