This makes me want to puke, then find someone and torture them...with video which should go to the family of the girl. Let me lay it out for you.
Mr. Hurst told police he entered the three-storey apartment complex in which Naiomi was staying and entered the first-floor unit through the unlocked front door.
He saw the girl asleep on the couch and told police he considered killing her there, going so far as to pick up a butcher's knife from the kitchen. He also considered killing her parents, but decided not to.
Instead, he abducted the girl, at times beating her, strangling her and sticking his hand down her throat to restrain her and keep her quiet.
Mr. Hurst told police he sexually assaulted the girl five times on the way across a field and past a Presbyterian church to his mother's townhouse complex. Along the way, he also dropped Naiomi on her head in a parking lot, knocking her unconscious and threw her limp 33-pound body over a six-foot fence.
He arrived at his home just after 4:30 a.m. and eventually went to sleep lying on top of Naiomi, which Mr. Rady said was intended to hide the girl, not to kill her. About four hours later, when Mr. Hurst awoke, she was dead.
He placed her in the bag but sexually assaulted her once more before he was discovered -- which Mr. Arntfield called yesterday "the final and utter indignity."
Her injuries were too extensive to be detailed in full. However, a coroner who took 13 hours to examine the body said injuries of such severity are usually only found in people killed in violent car accidents.
They included more than 100 cuts, scratches and bruises that spanned her entire body.
He confessed, but said that he was drunk at the time. We don't have the death penalty up here, so we get to pay for him to stay in jail for a while, feeding, clothing and housing him. He's 21...and should be released (if they give him the fullest), when he's about 45.
