Obama Will Use State of the Union to Call for Five-Year Freeze on Non-Security Discretionary Spending

President Obama will call for a five-year freeze on non-security discretionary spending during his State of the Union address to Congress late Tuesday, a White House official told Fox News.

"As a down payment toward reducing the deficit, the president is calling for a five-year freeze on non-security discretionary spending. In areas outside the freeze, we also will be looking for cuts and efficiencies," the official said, citing a five-year plan developed by Defense Secretary Robert Gates to cut $78 billion from the Pentagon budget.

looks like the 'double speak' will continue.
So, do they want a 'freeze', or 'cuts'?

I think the use of the word 'Freeze' is no good.
We can't afford a freeze. It HAS to be cuts.

Also, I hear Obama is going to suggest "Investments".
That doesn't sound like a freeze or cuts.
It sounds like he wants to Gamble some more with tax moneys.
It's past time to stop the Gambling.

I've brought it down as far as I can because the People have caught on to me.
Now I'm taking my toys and leaving."

Invest in crap we've already failed at. Make companies do shit that fails. Punish those who provide our power.

Seems to be mostly a leftwing thing, statistically.
I think it's a lack of self esteem, but I though I'd get a pro assessment. :D

typically you give someone more than nine minutes to re-butthole before you decide that they don't got none good rebudhole.

personal? don't be a weenie. structural observation. and i'm uncertain why a simple and obvious observation requires a rebuttal.
