The righties just get tired of getting beat and have a need to devolve things into insults. They know they won't be moderated for derailing a thread into a cesspool of personal attacks.

The lefties will get moderated right away if they do that or even if they respond in kind.

New moderators are needed.

I only edit when it's (IMO) too far over the line. I don't moderate most crap because, though some act like children, we're all adults. If it gets too bad, the offended will complain.

I know you don't really want to enforce the rules here but that's how the shit gets out of hand and why many don't participate.

Even when it was pointed out repeatedly that RM was going way over the line you couldn't do anything to stop him.
I kept pointing out the infractions to you and you said you'd take care of it but they never stopped until the whole forum was shut down.

I'm noticing that there are far more positive political and social threads started here in the KK than in the RL forum. I think I'm going to ignore the RL forum for a while and just post here. Besides, I think Spike should be let out of the KK and this is my way of supporting this position.

Time to reinstate me yet? Leslie has made exactly one "merry christmas" post since she did this and hasn't been able to respond to my PM's yet. I don't think she's around much.

I promise not to insult anyone personally (I'm not even sure I did) even when insulted by other members. I'm hoping someone will actually take action if other members insult me. It would be nice if the "report a post" button did something.

What else do we need to get me reinstated?

I would much rather have a reasonable debate than devolve into pissing but if nobody is going to control the people that derail the threads into insults then I can play that game too. I'm just not allowed to play by the same rules. So be it for now.

I can stick with reason and I'll refuse to engage in the pissing. I am hoping that somehow the mods will keep others from doing it though.

Also you might note that I couldn't change it if I wanted to with my current status.

I'm not even interested in OTC much anymore b/c of the baiting/trolling done in TRW forum. I know a lot of others have been put off by it in the past as well. I enjoy intelligent debate but what happens there does not stem from intelligence. All one needs to do is look at 90% of all threads started there for evidence of my statement.

I'll post here as long as you open threads and I'll post threads in the KK forum also if I find anything interesting, but I'm trying to refrain from posting in TRW forum until it's cleaned up. (Which is likely to be never.)

There were others that were insulting as well. But when you were insulted, you mimic it back (which is rather annoying, especially when you try to argue that way) but it seems you took it a degree further which is apparently why you were singled out.

So, yeah, your own advice is good and just do not do it back. Be the change you want to see.
