My wife went to the ER this evening, I had to sign a bunch of forms, I read them top to bottom. One form had a word that I never saw before, I asked at the nurses station and they didn't really know, so they looked it up on the Internet. As patients we are suppose know what all these words mean? When you ask the staff what it means, they have to look it up, that instills lots of confidence in the medical system. The head nurse was trying ti to get her to an X on the form to say she consented.

I told my wife not to sign until she truly under stood the form.

Would you all have signed a form that you don't understand???

1-To write down a letter from the spocken word..

2-Mandate an action in a given situation...

More then likely the intention is with number two...
