Vbulletin question for Sam or fury

Hi guys!

I've got an issue with another site..I'm oping that you might know how to fix it.

An Admin on this site was trying to mass-move some threads into new sub forums...and it looks like he deleted them.

Do either of you two know if these are recoverable either from backup or in some other way?

Any help appreciated.

Marc, i would say a backup is about the safest way to get them back.

also was he trying to do a mass move or did he hit prune? cause prune will delete them.

Looks like he was trying to do a mass-move - then went back and deleted the former threads without checking to see if they'd moved - it got worst when he realized that he'd erased the threads and tried to recover them, by using an old database...which overwrote the entire forum.

Ack not so good. does he at least have a newer backup?

Well....after 4 days of fighting, we were able to get a hold of the March 27th backup and did a rebuild from there... but there's got to be another way. Can a personal backup be done from home? Backup to DVD or copy of existing backup to DVD?
