I'm just putting up a link, just in case anyone here wants to read some really fucked up story that me and some other guy wrote whilst working the overnight shift at a hotel. It took 4 months altogether...he'd write one day, me the next...same characters... really fucked up story.

Lots of violence, nudity, swearing and well...it's fun.

Only 4 chapters online...but if you want the rest...just PM me and I'll bounce it your way.

sorry, no matter how good the story could be, i couldn't bare looking longer than 5 seconds to the website.

I never did care much for Geocities Pagebuilder or any of the others for that matter. Far better to code your own.

Sorry folx...can't do much about the code...bloody Geocities won't let me FTP my stuff in...

I have no problem ftping to geo. Why won't it let you?
 
Not too sure...I'll have to check again, but the last time, Dreamweaver wouldn't let me even link to it no matter what I tried
 
I've made it through the first paragraph, but have to keep flipping it off when the boss walks in. He's been in and out of here all day. Fucker.
 
Get a separate FTP Program. I use the AceFTP 2 Pro but this version AceFTP 3 Freeware by Visicom Media is free and very simple to use. Their HTML editor is also one of the best freeware programs available, but you need to know how to code to make the best use of it.

To connect to the server open the program, click on the green ftp icon on the toolbar and double click on New Site Profile - give the site a name in the top box - put the server address which you will find in "ftp & easy upload" in your account at geo in the server box, add your username and password, tick the save password box - geo will not let you log in anonymously. Click next and browse for the folder with your html pages, then click finish.

the site name will appear in the list under popular sites. double click to initiate the connection. Click on the broken ftp icon to close the connection.

To transfer the pages to the server - highlight the ones you want to move in the bottom left pane and double click the blue arrow pointing to the right pane (your space on the server). Click on overwrite if it pops up and you're done. You can also transfer from the server to your folder. There are other maintenance tools which mean you can maintain the site remotely down the sides of the panes. It's that simple.

Let me know if you have a problem but I don't think you will.

Nah...it's not "based on real life" :) It was myself and another lunatic with the same name as me who wrote this one...and the sequel. A grand total of 275 pages over a period of 5 months (Slow season at our hotel).

It's a blast and a half!
