i don't feel intrigued by any of those.

I feel more inclinated to think about some math stuff....like questioning the existence of the irrationality of numbers like pi, e or square root of 2.

I'm telling you, Luis...That stuff will make you start peeing in the shower... :D

as long as it doesn't make me start showering in the pee

:D

For you, Posty...

I also choose to ponder questions to which I can possibly tabulate an a result, considering answers to 3 of the 4 aforementioned questions most likely will not be delivered to me in this lifetime. I'd rather get an answer to one of the open math questions with a million dollar tag for a solution, that is, when I'm not doing my own research or tooting around online :headbang:

Or what i is really...

You forgot to add computers on your list. By far greatest mystery.

i isn't anything.. it's all in your head!! :p

just think of all numbers as ordered pairs and you don't have to use imaginary numbers at all

I write imaginary letters...Then I pretend to get mad when nobody answers them...It really screws with their heads... :D

i was torn between "why are we here?" and "does god exist?"
i picked the first of those, because god was supposedly thunk up to answer that question, all the while creating more questions of his own.

Which three? I figure that I already know the answers to those four questions.

1.) This one is a little vague because it doesn't specify whether it's asking for the cause of our existence, or the purpose of our existence. The cause of my existence is because Mom and Dad got jiggy with it one night, and here I am. The purpose of my existence is whatever I choose for it to be. Right now I choose for it to be raising and educating my two children.

2.) Easy one: no.

3.) Yes and no. There's very likely another planet out there in the universe with life on it, but there aren't any little bug-eyed aliens :alienhuh: zooming around Earth in flying saucers.

4.) There are many answers to women, but the best one is "yes ma'am."

I hypothesize we may find life elsewhere in the universe, but thats about it.

I think #1 and #2 are linked. If God can be proven to exist, then perhaps we can determine his motive for creating the universe and life. Otherwise, I don't think #1 has an answer at all. If you look at it from a scientific point of view negating all religion, then there is no 'purpose' to life, it's simply a series of chemical reactions that happened by chance where conditions were favorable. when someone says 'why do we exist', to me that connotates that we were 'put' here by something or someone, because otherwise, the reason for our existence is purely due chemical characteristics.

in any event, I don't think #2 can be proved until one dies, as no concrete evidence of his existence is present in the living world.

#4 -> refer to women are political thread :p

Computers are not a mistery for me, i know how they work at transistor level, which makes logical gates, to more complex circuits like flip flops and latchs. And then the programming languages like assembly, C and C++, OS design, distributed transactions, and a bunch of other stuff that i know i will never use :D
