Remains a physical characteristic nonetheless. How do you explain ginger people then? What good are they? Perhaps homosexuality is an adaption to the evolution of culture, resulting in the greater breeding potential of people with creative personalities.

Not always. Some homosexual men are just born more effiminate, some homosexual women more masculine. Why say "very stereotypical?" I didn't say "all" I said "can have." Also, male homosexuals have been observed to have one section of the brain (that thought to be reponsible for artistic or...

    S. Korea opens stem cell bank

Would you be as outraged if he were buying sperm? Or do you get outraged every time a woman has her period or a man wanks washes his spunk down a sink?

Homosexuality can have physical characteristics. A higher or lower pitch of voice, a more feminine or masculine gait.

Yes, the Saudis are cowering are in their boots.

I agree, I just don't think the example of Austria in this instance is representative of Europe as a whole. I don't believe there's a huge difference in what people are allowed to say in Europe as a whole and in the US. The European media is a lot more open to tits and swearing, though.

Harry Pothead & the something or other *spoilers*

Re: Harry Pothead & the something or other Get him to read "His Dark Materials" by Phillip Pullman. Great books. Had a big effect on me when I read them.

PR, Austria as the birthplace of Hitler wanting to be seen to be cracking down on any hint of Nazi rhetoric. People in Europe pretty much have the same restrictions as you do on what they are allowed to say in public. Freedom of Press rankings, 2005...

Not actually true. When the question is brought up to arm normal police officers in Britain, the majority of officers are against it. They don't want to be armed. As can be seen, when they are armed, they generally shoot the wrong people, such as the Brazilian man shot in the head 7...

I mean in the technical operation of guns. I would be quite happy never to know the ins and outs, I'm not going to argue on technical points. However, if they are of detriment to society, as they unequivocably are, then the right to hold them should be questioned. How can you stop me...

Pretty sure it is available. I daresay most countries in Western, Northern and Southern Europe are "more free" than the USA.

I'm quite happily ignorant about guns. I mean, I don't live in the US so I don't really care for the most part. I just find it sort of curious how in love you all are with this right. I can only imagine how much worse things would have been here had guns been freely available to the general...

Those aren't archaic. They remain valid and contemporary rights. The "right to bear arms" law wasn't made with how powerful and increasingly deadly firearms would become in mind. It wasn't made with the idea in mind that assault rifles and automatic weapons would be freely available.

That particular part of the US constitution is archaic, a product of its times.

Guns are designed to injure, maim or kill. Cars are designed to transport people. Therein lies the inherent difference that makes the analogy unsafe. Anything can be used as a weapon, but guns offer nothing else to society aside from being weapons. Cars do. I won't disagree with you about...

    The Vatican Evolves

I'd like to see it, just for laughs. Yes, I've heard of the catechism. Your passage proves nothing other than offering an explanation of original sin. No where does it say Adam should be seen as a literal historic figure. And quite frankly, I'm glad the priests at my school weren't...
