Monotony of identical signs & bumper stickers

Does anyone get tired of all those official monotonous identical campaign signs & bumper stickers? I do. I remember going to Dean's website and saw a picture - there must have been 100 to 200 of "Vote for Howard Dean" signs. Not a single one of them ever encouraged me to want to vote for him...

    Nader joins the chase..

Assuming exit polls in Florida were an accurate representation of those that voted, Gore would have won Florida and that's assuming that Nader's votes (had he not been in the race and the people voted for Gore instead of him) were actually counted for Gore. Actually Nader could win this time...

    Nader joins the chase..

Exactly what's wrong with Nader? And be specific. Do you know anything about his platform? Have you been to his campaign website? It's located at http://www.votenader.org. I think he'd be a terrific President. A problem I see with his campaign is that it doesn't have a message board where...

Why anti-gambling laws must be repealed

Yes I'm for real. I don't believe that there should be special taxes on private gambling, prostitution, hemp, or drugs.

Why anti-gambling laws must be repealed

Unclehobart, I recommended the tax on gambling & prostitution & hemp & drugs as a way to get them first legalized in states where they're currently illegal. Later such a special gambling/prostitution/hemp/drug tax could be repealed after they're legalized.

Kerry is no longer a viable candidate

I'm voting for Ralph Nader. He's got a good platform. The Reform Party has endorsed him and I think the Natural Law Party has endorsed him too. The Green Party might endorse him also. It's possible that many of the people who didn't vote last time will vote for him given how he woke up...

    Raising the speed limit...

I actually think raising the speed limit to 130 miles per hour on interstates where there are for at least 1 mile along them no hills, intersecting driveways/roads, and/or curves and if there are shoulders would be a good idea and to keep the minimum 40 miles per hour speed limit would be good...

    Gun control...

I am against gun control of any kind because if individual citizens can't defend themselves from a tyrannical government if said government tries to put them in concentration camps and/or kill them, then they're doomed. The criminals are the people who won't use guns ethically, not the...

    The Homosexual Debate

I'm heterosexual. But I have no problems with homosexuality. I don't think it's evil. I think that as long as people love each other that's what should count.

Why anti-gambling laws must be repealed

Ok fine, then pass an amendment that would give Congress the authority to ensure everyone can have access to (but is not required to) reasonable health care, education, reasonable housing, reasonable clean water to drink, etc. Yes, make hemp, drugs, and prostitution (but not child prostitution)...

impeachment for intentionally breaking a platform promise

What does everyone think about this - like if a politician intentionally breaks a promise he/she makes in his/her platform, then he/she is automatically impeachmed.

Why there must be separation of church and state

No government (not the federal, state, or local) must require its citizens to accept any religion it chooses. Why? What if Utah decides that all citizens must be Mormons and Alabama decides that all citizens must be Southern Baptists. What if an Alabama truck driver drives up to Utah to visit...

Why anti-gambling laws must be repealed

Government officials should remove legislation that would prohibit gambling businesses from operating. Lotteries should be legal in all states and in D.C. Money generated by gambling games ran by governments could be taxed and used for government programs such as funding for the U.S. Armed...

Can a liberal and a conservative be friends?

Some liberals can become friends with some conservatives while some conservatives cannot become friends with some liberals. It really depends on each individual.

What do you think about prison?

Prison is necessary to prevent people who've done violence from doing violence again. I do believe that anyone who has been wrongly sent to prison/jail/detention center should be paid $1,000,000 per day by the government that sent him/her there to cover the emotional distress and time that...

    The Liberals’ Creed

Re: The Liberals’ Creed Why the mine ban treaty must be signed. Problems with mines: 1. They're hard to keep track of. 2. They divert explosives away from personnel that need them to be fired out of guns, and they also divert metals needed to make weapons that could be used to stop those...
