Watcha eating for New Years?

but liquor control doesn't necessarily correlate with avid rollin' around kinda religiousity. in ontario it's the beer store or LLBO. and that place ain't no tent revival.
 
Around here, beer and wine are looped together, and other stuff is a separate license. Beer/wine licenses are more common... I can go over to the local 7-Eleven and get an 18-pack of Natural Ice or Miller High Life but no Peach Schnapps. But most grocery stores have liquor licenses as well, so I can get anything there. There are also liquor stores, which are basically convenience stores with liquor licenses. I'm not sure if liquor stores have to be closed at a certain time, since most of the stores around here I can think of that are open 24 hours do beer and wine... Food 4 Less (warehouse grocery store) is open 24 hours but has posted "no alcohol sales between midnight and 6 a.m." I don't know if that's law or store policy or what.

If it says Miller, it damned well better be bread ingredients, not beer.

The stores are LCBO, the licensing board for restaurants and bars is LLBO. You can buy beer at the LCBO and you can buy some coolers (smirnoff and the like) at the Beer Store.

Liquor stores are privatized in Alberta :D
 
I don't drink... to get drunk. I enjoy alcohol in small quantities; beer for refreshment, wine to wash down dinner, etc. Only time I tend to get sploshed these days is over xmas/new years. Beer on a hot summers day.... *drool*
