Time to get this forum going, even though it's name and description sound like a girl magazine cover. :D

Last night we took the kids for a ride, went to Tim Hortons, MMMMMMM!!!! the best coffee chain anywhere, :headbang: and Dairy Queen for good old fashioned chocolate dippeds. Who could ask for anything more?

I like the analogy that it sounds like the name of a girl magazine :D

A new name would be nice, I can never come up with good names for anything.

As for good fast food and junk food, I happen to like Arby's... their roast beef sammiches and curly fries are unbeatable. Then for a treat, I like to go to this place called Ritter's Frozen Custard... *drooooool*

Rock on! :headbang:

Arby's rules. I forgot about that. I love their cheddar cheese thing.

I'll have to think on the name, lemme get back to you. :)

Frozen custard, now that sounds good! I bet that beats pudding pops any day! :D

How about 'Downtime', kind of encompasses everything. I don't mind the girlie bit, but I think some may not post here as is :D I had thought of Hometime or some Bob Vila type name, but that kind of leaves out the travel, so I dunno. I'll keep thinking.

I have McDick's food right now... but you know what sucks? Those ass hole orthodontists welded some metal pieces to the back of my two front teeth, so that I wouldn't bite down on my bottom teeth's brackets... so now when I bite down, only my front teeth can touch so I can't grind food! TWO CHEESEBURGERS AND FRIES AND I CAN'T HARDLY EAT IT!!! :(

I went to texas over Christmas and had Whataburger for the first time. Apparently they used to have them here, but got rid of 'em a long time ago. It was pretty decent. Sonic is a car hop kind of deal. Forgot what they call it out west.

Ok, humour a poor ignorant backwoods Canadian, and please tell me what is car hop?

I never mentioned my favourite junk places for meals - Pizza Hut, Wendy's (very nice chicken salad), Tim Hortons , and any chain sub shop. Mr Sub is my favourite, Subway a close second. I don't like their oil and vinegar thng.

I got sick from some bad stuff at both Arby's and Checkers so I don't go there anymore... I'm on a massive diet so I don't really eat fast food. But if I DID, I would have:

Subway
McDonald's
Boston Market

Oh and Les, A&W isn't just a Canadian thing, there was definately one in NY a long time ago. I know this because it was my first job at 16-I was a terrible waitress. But I loved their curly fries, waffle cones, and ice cream floats. And all my friends worked there. Fun times... That was 13 years ago.

For food I don't care what country it comes from, good food is good food! :headbang: I like falafels too, forgot to mention it, out in the sticks here I can't get them fast food though, so I have to make them myself which is a huge PITA!

Alright, who's impersonating Leslie now?! ;)

It was sbcanada, sorry Les!

A&W was spawned from the Root Beer soda and is just like a Friendly's place (Dennys? Not sure what's up there.). Their claim to fame is the root beer floats in frosted glasses. Yummy!

I did a little research (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A%26W_Restaurants) and found out a few things. A&W started in California. The did expand into Canada, but sold off the Canadian operations to Unilever in 1972. Now A&W in Canada has no connection to A&W elsewhere. A&W in the US is owned by Yum! Brands, the same company that owns KFC, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, etc., while

Speaking of local fast food joints, Lucky Wishbone, Luke's Chicago Style and Hoagie House (all in Tucson, BTW)(any of 'em in Phoenix too, Winky?). Absolutely cannot stand Pizza Hut, BTW.

Speaking of A&W, anyone else remember when you could get a quart of fries? A&W is in with Long John Silver's here and the fries taste like fish (really icky fish).

Junk Food Junkie
Larry Groce
Written by Larry Groce

You know I love that organic cooking
I always ask for more
And they call me Mr. Natural
On down to the health food store
I only eat good sea salt
White sugar don't touch my lips
And my friends is always
Begging me to take them
On macrobiotic trips
Yes, they are
Oh, but at night I stake out my strongbox
That I keep under lock and key
And I take it off to my closet
Where nobody else can see
I open that door so slowly
Take a peek up north and south
Then I pull out a Hostess Twinkie
And I pop it in my mouth
Yeah, in the daytime I'm Mr. Natural
Just as healthy as I can be
But at night I'm a junk food junkie
Good lord have pity on me
Well, at lunchtime
You can always find me
At the Whole Earth Vitamin Bar
Just sucking on my plain white yogurt
From my hand thrown pottery jar
And sippin' a little hand pressed cider
With a carrot stick for dessert
And wiping my face
In a natural way
On the sleeve of my peasant shirt
Oh yeah
Ah, but when that clock strikes midnight
And I'm all by myself
I work that combination
On my secret hideaway shelf
And I pull out some Fritos corn chips
Dr. Pepper and an Ole Moon Pie
Then I sit back in glorious expectation
Of a genuine junk food high
Oh yeah, in the daytime I'm Mr. Natural
Just as healthy as I can be
But at night I'm a junk food junkie
Good lord have pity on me
My friends down at the commune
They think I'm pretty neat
Oh, I don't know nothing about arts and crafts
But I give 'em all something to eat
I'm a friend to old Euell Gibbons
And I only eat homegrown spice
I got a John Keats autographed Grecian urn
Filled up with my brown rice
Yes, I do
Oh, but folks lately I have been spotted
With a Big Mac on my breath
Stumbling into a Colonel Sanders
With a face as white as death
I'm afraid someday they'll find me
Just stretched out on my bed
With a handful of Pringles Potato Chips
And a Ding Dong by my head
In the daytime I'm Mr. Natural
Just as healthy as I can be
But at night I'm a junk food junkie
Good lord have pity on me

Hmm... Always thought that was a Steve Goodman tune...

We don't have Sonic, Hardee's/Carl's Jr (there was a Hardee's a few towns away but closed a couple of years ago), or Chick-Fil-A, and I'm sure there's others we don't have. A&Ws around here aren't standalones, the only ones I know of are in malls' food courts. There's an up and coming chain Culver's that I haven't tried much yet, went to one downstate and wasn't that impressed, but they're building one next to the store I used to work at. Anyone else hear of or go to a Culver's?

I have a friend that moved to the states a few years ago. I went to visit him a few months back. When I was there he asked me how to pronounce "poutine". He said that all his friends pronounce it like "poodin".

One that I got a kick out of was the name "Leblanc". He pronounces it "La-Blank" now. I know... not really funny... but I just never heard it said like that.

Which brings me to the next thing I need to bitch about. Thank you tinky! :swing:

I have long said that Hardee's needs to stick to breakfast and just close up at 11 AM. Well, now they've ruined even that.

I went by this morning to indulge my one breakfast vice from a fast food joint...the Hardee's pork chop biscuit. It's a little slice of heaven. Or was. Now they no longer fry them...they're grilled.

Gag. What's the point? I mean, last time I checked I was still in Dixie (or damn well better be...). If we can't deep fry it, we ain't eatin' it. We deep fry corn for the love of cholesterol. Deep fried dill pickle chips? No problem...here have some ranch dressing with 'em too. Now Hardee's is gonna grill a pork chop??! The same place that sells a 2/3 pound chili cheeseburger is suddenly worried about my freakin' health? If I wanted healthy I'd eat Raisin fuckin' Bran already. Maybe hang out with that little fag Jarrod next door at Scabway. Not for me. I want all the triglycerides I can fit between two buttery biscuit halves in the morning...gets th' ol' ticker jump started doncha know.

Apparently you haven't heard my reasoning on why I'll never have two men at the same time...my thinking is that having two guys in bed at the same time makes it pretty likely that the girl will end up with something in her bum...and my bum is exit only...thus I will never have two men in bed at the same time.

Steak fingers and fries from the Lucky Wishbone. Mmm... I can feel my arteries hardening just thinking about it.

I love Webers burgers, fries are good too. It's a small little place on the side of Highway 400 (northbound). They are only open during summer time and the line up at this place is huge. They had to pay to get a bridge installed as too many people (coming south bound) were running across the highway to get their food.

So your mouth will just sit there unused then?

Would you seriously be OK putting your penis in a girl's mouth while another guy was doing her? Cause I don't think most guys would...the chances of bite down are too high.

I wouldn't be doing anything that involves another guy in any form in the first place. I'm just saying it's totally possible for a chick to get done doggiestyle while sucking cock... otherwise, by the same logic, 69 would be bad too.

I've heard of thread drift, but this might take the cake.

There are actually devices to prevent such an occurence.

If you don't know how to clean it, you did everyone a favor by tossing it back. They aren't like other fish on that front.

Bah. Once you peel off the skin, and chop off the head, the other stuff just falls out into the trashbag...:devious:
