I can't wait!
Mufu how do you know its awsome? you seen something you aint telling us? :confuse3: :D
Share man... :P
No big secret... I've had the film for nearly two days now.
Gotta love 10MBps internet connections. :D
MuFu.
Just heard George Lucas is sueing individuals that have downloaded it off the internet.
*gulp*
Ah well... I got it off the university LAN anyway. I don't think that counts. Plus, this is going to be a "multiple-cinema-trips-plus-buy-the-DVD-and-make-a-Yodabong" film for me.

I gotta wait 'til it comes out in theaters.
You only have to wait 4 days, i have to wait 2 months, now that's ridiculous....
MuFu: what's the right codec for it ?, what's the filename of the movie?, how many files?
Edited: i asked something "illegal" :D
I don't know. I don't have it. :D
If I did have it, it would probably be a *.avi file but actually encoded in mpeg-2 VCD format. Just speculation though...

I was talking about a different film. A porno with the a similar name...

;)
MuFu.
The porno is 2 x 700MB files, BTW. Also have a smaller version which is two files under 200MB each.
Anyway... this is beside the point. Episode II ROCKS, GO SEE IT!!! :D
:headbang:

I'm still waiting ...
I'll probably have a lot of waiting to do ... I hate crowded movie theaters :D
I just saw it last night
There's Polynesians in this movie too ... just like in Scorpion King. Wow, Polynesians are popping up in more and more movies :headbang:

Speaking of Polynesians...
I kept hearing the start of this song and it was driving me crazy... First in a commercial for eToys, then at the end of 'Finding Forrester' and 'Meet Joe Black' and then at the end of the ER episode where Mark Green dies. After that, I finally got around to trying to find out what it was because I liked it so much.
The artist is ISRAEL KAMAKAWIWO`OLE and here (http://www.mele.com/v3/info/116.htm) is a website with some of his music. The song is a remake of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" and it's not cheesy like the one I remember-it's really sweet sounding.
If you listen to it, I'm sure you'll recognize it right away. :)
Israel was a much loved Hawaiian entertainer for decades. Unfortunately, like most musicians, he passed away before his songs became known nationally.
More info on IZ can be found atThe Mountain Apple Company (http://www.mountainapplecompany.com)
Just look for Israel Kamakawiwoole under ARTIST :D

Heehee... Aussie's are going to like the fact that the Clones are all New Zealanders. Lots of jokes about NZ and in-breeding in Oz. :)
"Lucks like thut Judi uss vurry, vurry pussed uff with you, eh." :D

Inbreeding keeps the bloodlines pure :headbang:

Sounds like something hitler would say
:P At least when Polynesians practiced it, they didn't kill others who weren't of their race :P
:D
It's okay to have severe physical and mental retardation as long as you keep the blood lines pure? :rofl2:
but the extra toes are useful :D :D :D
Yeah, you can donate the extra fingers and toes to people who have their's cut off in accidents.
Apparently they deleted a huge scene where you more or less find out completely how what will become "The Empire" forms. That's pretty annoying since a lot of other stuff slots right into place with this film. It's actually made Episode I watchable! ;)
I wonder what will happen. Obviously, Palpatine is going to decalre himself Emperor at some stage. Anakin will probably stand by him then, because you hear him talk about how he would be in favour of a "dictatorship", firstly as himself and then, no doubt, as Vader. So the Republic becomes the Empire? What about the rebellion? I bet we'll see the beginning of that in EpIII.
Padme and most of the Jedi all get killed though, which is going to suck quite a bit. :(
MuFu.
Yoda kicks ass!! :headbang:
just went and saw ep2, and here are my high-brow thoughts
[apologies for language and to kevin smith for the rip-off quote]

We're going to a matinee tomorrow to see SW again, and Spiderman will be finished burning in about an hour. :D
Do you know that they have it on VCD in a country in South East Asia.
As for the show, I feel, Yoda's action scene is a little short, and the part where he jumps off the walls made him look like a Gremlin. lol
sorry guys but can we lay off the obvious 'lookit i can d/l and watch it illegally' talk, its sorta against the basic guidelines with regard to warez
thanks :)
I can download Episode II and SpiderMan and watch them illegally. Contact me at ICQ# 69696969696969 and I will send it to you also.

Episode 2 was good, it makes me wonder why episodes 1 and 6 sucked so badly. I can actually tolerate Return of the Jedi, up until the Ewoks, but they nearly ruin the whole film. The Phantom Menace was pathetic, lame story, lame acting, mostly lame charachters, only special effects going for it. In short I felt ripped off after seeing it, and I hardly remember the story it was so lame. I was very pleasantly surprised by Attack of the Clones. I thought it was very well done in every way, except the acting which wasn't wonderful at times, but I never thought it was bad either, and some of it was quite good. Screw the critics, it's a good film, and if you don't see it in the theater you are cheating yourself.

So far I've seen it twice and the sub-plot between Anakin and Padme gets worse every time. Neither one of them is convincing in their roles as lovers and there are two scenes with Anakin that make me cringe they are so unconvincing and bad--the ones where he says "It's not fair!" and "It's all Obi-One's fault!" and "I will be the strongest Jedi ever!"
Other than that, I really enjoyed it. I have to agree with Ku'u about Yoda's scene-the whole audience laughed the first time I saw it.

The only thing that made me truly cringe was C-3POs litany of uber pun one liners. I know hes the fall guy for most of the physical humor in the other films... but they crossed the line big time.
My large intestine almost jumped up through my neck to throttle my brain to snuff the pain from the one godawful scene of R2D2 dragging C3POs head across a battlefield and C3PO remarking, 'oh, what a drag'. I wanted to die right then and there.

It's to do with the influence of a guy called Gary Kurtz. He produced the first two Star Wars films and American Graffiti, leaving Return of The Jedi halfway through production. At the time he left, there were no Ewoks, the film was essentially a tragedy, and there was no plot to destroy the Death Star, AGAIN. George Lucas has no interest in chracters, he's on a self-indulgent story-telling streak. It's a shame because EVERY Star Wars film could have been an Epic.
AOTC is pretty low-brow and not an "intelligent" film as such, but I guess it makes up for it in pure visual spectacle. I liked it. :D

I actually thought that was funny. It broke up the tense mood while they were fighting. I didn't like the way they made a big deal about Anakin riding that beast. I thought it looked unrealistic (yes, I know it's all unrealistic-but this was more unrealistic to me) and reminded me of the part where he's trying to 'surf' that other beast earlier in the movie. Another *cringe*.
