DVD problems: Gladiator

For some reason, my Gladiator DVD won't play. When we stick the DVD in the machine, some message on a blue screen pops up saying something like, "this type of disk in unreadable."

It used to work. And all of a sudden it doesn't. :(

The disk isn't scratched or smudged.

Anybody know the possible cause?

have you checked the drive with other disks? or can you try the disk in another dvd player to see if it is that? other than that i can only suggest getting a dvd lens cleaner in case there is a problem with it.

its likely the player if it does not read other dics, what type of player? stand alone or computer?

It's my DVD machine. Other DVDs & CDs work fine in it.

hmm... a tough one. Could be the disc or the player, but my guess is there's probably not much you can do about it, other than putting a lens cleaning disc in a crossing your fingers.
