My boyfriend and I were talking about building a house together on his property one day.

He says as long as he has a loft upstairs with a spiral staircase, he's happy.

I say as long as I have a nice bathroom with a huge tub I can soak comfortably in, I'm happy.

What would be in your dream house?

JACUZZI no question. Had one, lived without one, have one again praise the gods. :D Don't care if it's a shack, has to have a jacuzzi. And a dishwasher. And a garburator however you spell it. Almost forgot - and a houseboy.

Well, ris, at least I'll know who to go to for advice :D

Oh, I forgot to mention that I want a wraparound porch with a deck that sets the mood for some evening wine/beer.

Any preference for your houseboy? I'm evisioning someone tall, dark, & muscular. :D

(Hey if you have a houseboy, you won't need a dishwasher) :D

Nah... he told me today he designs little boxes. I'd steer clear... ;)

oh yes you do, if he's tall, dark and muscular you want him to have time for something other than housework, right? :D :D

that's exactly what I was picturing with a latin accent of some sort of course. I wasn't envisioning him doing the dishes though.......

Tons and tons and tons of windows and definately my own green room (greenhouse inside the house) and a big porch.

I'm 5'8", 190 pounds, and can speak Spanish somewhat...

5'8 ? Hm... I always pictured you as 5' 11' 210. Is your head mirror shaved, ground close, or simple 1 inch clean military style?

5'8" - 190 lbs.? Dude, I'm 5'9" - 141 lbs.

Gato bulked up at work. And Gato wears combat boots and hopefully commando pants for a living

I've actually LOST 20 pounds over the past 6 weeks. Guess that's what happens when you spend a lot of your time wearing a flak vest and helmet in 80+ degree weather...and THAT was just for Practice.

As long as I get 3 hots, a cot, all the sex I can handle, and a place to swim, I'd be happy... :P

Man o man stop giving me visual images of Gato, I can't stop picturing him now, glistening with sweat during practice... ;)

I think I've been married too long, my first thought upon reading that was the state of his underwear and socks  ugh

But then I got my head together and remembered what's important, that he was glistening :D

*sniff* Houseboys do NOT wear underwear. We parade around in terrycloth towels, just barely covering our...nevermind... :D

I would have a bar with a tap of Mountain Dew and a blender
and i would have an air-conditioned soundproof room to put servers in

It would have to be built using all the latest enviromentally friendly technology and sustainable materials where possible, with a grey water system for things like toilets etc. which don't require potable water, solar panels for electricity production, underfloor heating, quadrurple glazing, extra efficient cavity and roof insultation, etc :) Nice and inexpensive to run.

A jacuzzi, a sauna and a large walk in shower would be nice too.

I would make mine out of lead
I would have no sewer, i would just dump watse into a nearby lake
also i would have fireplaces that let out as much smoke as possible... )

I would have a deck on the roof with a 100-foot long waterslide ending in a huge pool D
but no houseboys D
If i ever build it i will invite all of you over for a swim in the pool [and then i will release the anglerfish... behead]

New house! How exciting!

As long as I have a sunken livingroom, a big bathroom and a wrap around porch...I'd be a happy woman. Oh yeah, and one of those tubs that I can lie down and be comfy. :D

Frig that. I want someplace with Unc's entrance and staircase. HL's pool, and Cat's property line.

Screw big.

My dream house is isolated. I wanna be able to fire a cannon from the front yard and the cannonball come down between me and the nearest neighbor.

Professur
7/26/05, 02:31pm
Hell, I can do that right now. (or at least, I could, if it wouldn't get me 3 to 5). Just fire the bastard straight up.

SouthernN'Proud
7/26/05, 02:34pm
Then amend the specs, to wit:

when fired at a 45 degree angle.

Sorry, I just would prefer to not have to deal with anybody afoot until I was ready to deal with them.

Professur
7/26/05, 02:36pm
Well, if you're gonna go firing cannon at them, you're gonna be patching the driveway alot.

SouthernN'Proud
7/26/05, 02:38pm
It would only be fired at some people.

If it'd keep them away I'd patch every driveway in the county.
