Get your motor running... (http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20070412/od_nm/britain_driving_dc;_ylt=AppRVGo5EviU.HbbuPHdlo7MWM 0F)

So, which ones do it for you? What are your favorite driving songs?

I know that every time I play the song "Driving On Holy Gasoline" by Zodiac Mindwarp my right foot gets a little heavy. Others that come to mind right off are:

Radar Love - Golden Earring
Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap - AC/DC (especially the live version)
Barracuda - Heart
Chain Lightning - .38 Special
Train, Train - Blackfoot

My personal fav is "Traveling Band" by CCR...especially the beginning.

Seven Thirty Seven comin' out of the sky.
Oh! Won't you take me down to Memphis
on a midnight ride, I wanna move.
Playin' in a Travelin' Band. Yeah!
Well, I'm flyin' across the land,
try'in' to get a hand,
Playin' in a Travelin' Band.

Well, as a motorpicklist, of course Born to be Wild.
Radar Love is a good one, as is Twilight Zone by the same group.
Layla does it for me too as does Putting out the Fire (with Gasoline).
Danger Zone from Top Gun is a good one too.

Hell, I just like to go fast. Especially on a bike.

Edit: I actully think it should be a law that you get a free pass on the ticket if Born to be Wild was playing at the time. :D

Going fast is par for the course.

Adding a double time kick just gets the blood flowing.

Priest-Freewheel Burning
Ted-Motor City Madhouse
Iron Maiden-Aces High
Motorhead-Iron Fist
GnR-Nighttrain
are a couple of classic speedding tunes.

The country version, or the original version from the early 1990s that a lot of country fans probably don't know exists?

... doesn't take much with me either ...

off the top of my head from the other day when the radio played 'Paint it Black' it seemed the countryside had suddenly gone rather active ... to this day i still have no idea where those trees and hedgerows seemed to be in such a rush to glide off to ;)

Fuel by Metallica
Rip And Tear by L.A. Guns
Headhunter by Krokus
Flight Of Icarus by Iron Maiden

Normally I'm a speed limit driver. I get my urge on back roads for some reason.

Is the original by Tim Cochrane?

According to my research the original IS by Tim Cochrane...written by him in 1991. So, yea, the original.
