With a minimum of cleanup afterwards. Exactly. Now if they only tasted better than the box they came in.

Office cafeteria lady served us chili with something in it that resembled rabit turds, grilled cheese that looks like two pieces of toast plus one slice of store-brand processed american cheese, microwaved together for 15 seconds.

yum!

These have sauce. The problem is you taste the pastry first.

What??!?!?

You take the dry onion-soup mix (liptons) and mix it with breadcrumbs, coat the pork-chops and put in the over at 350 for a hour. Tasted better than uncoated and certainly better than just breadcrumbs

BeardofPants
12/20/06, 01:39pm
My god highway dude, that's twice now, you've interspersed between me and the post I was responding to - the first post was in response to bish, and the second was in response to meself. You wanna bang me or summit?

Country Omelets - with green peppers and ham and cheese, with hashbrowns, onions, sausage, and sausage gravy on top.

Actually, it was a huge omelet with peppers, bacon, onions, sausage and hashbrowns folded into it with sausage gravy on top an a big dollop of grits.

And it were right tasty.

Tonight we had fried chicken livers with white gravy, cole slaw, and hushpuppies. From the authentic 1950s drive-in on Harrison Avenue downtown, the Tally-Ho. And I say "authentic" as in: it's been there since the 1950s.

I had pasta with alfredo sauce and left over turkey in the sauce. It was extra tastey. Regular tastey cause it was a good meal, extra cause I didn't have to cook it :D

Tonight I am going to my friend's engagement party for a few hours and then off to my uncle's to gorge myself on seafood :D

Is Spag = Spaghetti and Cukes = Cucumbers normal abbreviations? I've never heard of them.

P.S. Spaghetti with carrots and cucumbers sounds...odd.

Leslie
7/30/09, 11:06am
Spag is usually Spagh, I think. I usually see it in seventies books with conversations among teenagers in Britain.

Cukes is normalish.

Ah Winkster, so glad to know what is populating yer poop.

Lunch yesterday was a sammich from cafe down the road. Sundried tomaters, cheese, some other stuff. Had better, had worse.

Spaghetti & cucumber sounds odd... unless it was like a seasonal vege dish?

Leslie

I was hoping it was a salad. ? Otherwise, it's appalling.

I haven't heard the terms before but it was pretty easy to figure out... when in doubt, just say it out loud... spag sounds like the start of spaghetti, cukes sounds like the start of cucumbers...

MrBishop

Spag with a side of baby carrots and spiced and diced cukes.

Spaghetti (Just the pasta) with cucumbers that have been diced (into cubes) and spiced (add pepper, cumin, and paprica and then pan-fried).

I was sure that cukes = cucumbers was par for the course...like calling McDonald's = McD's or Mickey D's. or Burger King = Burger Thing.

A cold veggie-pasta salad is all it is. I dunno about appalling...appealing maybe.

Pan-fried cucumbers taste similar to pan-fried zucchini - cook faster tho' so, if you don't like mushy veggies, remove from heat faster.
