:headbang: Cheddar & Beer Kettle Chips (http://www.thechippie.com/2006/02/chip-report-kettle-chips-cheddar-beer.html) :headbang:

They are so yum that I, who am not a big chip fan, has to back off of them before I eat the whole bag!

Sounds yummy. I frequent a sub shop near me and always get the "hand cooked" variety they offer. Can't think of the brand off hand....but they are definately better than the average chip.

Ya gets what ya pays for...

I like the Cape Cod russets. Dark brown and extra crunchy. Gonna have to try the cheddar and beer though. Cape Cod's sea salt and vinegar are pretty good too.

I just got back from my weekend grocery trip and I couldn't find hide nor hair of the Kettle brand chips they had advertised. They did have the Cape Cod brand (2/$5.00) in a variety of flavors, Sea Salt and Vinegar being one of them. I stood there molesting the bag for several minutes with my mouth watering, but then I chickened out and put them back. I try to stay away from potato chips, give me Doritoes or die.

Answer me this, how the hell can a 200oz bottle of Purex laundry detergent cost $9.99 and the 100oz bottle is $2.75. Neither were on sale. I got 300oz's for less than the 200oz bottle :lloyd:

Was the 200 oz in that nifty bottle with the spigot at the bottom? If so, maybe that's what you'd be paying for.

alex
3/26/06, 04:11pm
No, that's the 300oz bottle. Those things are a pain in the ass.

Inkara1
3/26/06, 04:15pm
Oh. Well, $9.99 isn't that bad a price for 200 oz, considering that Tide is like $7.49 for 100 oz, but $2.49 for 100 oz is a smokin' deal.

Leslie

I just paid 12.99 for Gain.

SO worth it. That's the one thing that I couldn't care less about the price of.

Sorry, couldn't find Gain...will Wisk do?
Wisk ® - 300 fl. oz. #253285

That was on sale for 9.99 today. CND obviously.

It needs to be liquid...liquid is the only way to go.

Gonz

Liquid is less efficient though

OKAY! So the same people (Kettle Chips) make a flavor called Spicy Thai! It's yum! I find them to be sweet and tangy and not overly spicy!
Ingredients: Russet potatoes, safflower and/or sunflower oil, honey powder, salt, garlic powder, jalapeno pepper, ground ginger, onion powder, habanero pepper, dried parsley, citric acid, cilantro, oleoresin, ginger oil, cayenne pepper, white pepper, lime oil.
Which means Rob can eat them...but he's going to have to get his own bag!

J? The chips are apples and oranges as these taste great and Zap's jalapenos don't really have much flavor, IMHO. The heat? These are probably hotter...but that may be because I ate over half a bag.

We have a nice hideyhole at the edge of the deck that works just fine. We had about 5 tomatoes and 2 peppers last year with no word said. We'll be upping that this year.

Or, just slip a little kudzu into his yard. Have I mentionned I like that plant? Any plant that inspires fear definitely gets my vote.
