Got invites to whore out. PM if interested.
i got an account...dunno how to invite but i could always find out.
It will tell you on the inbox screen how many you've got to give out. I've perpetually got 6 to give. Even after I've just given one away.
In IE, it's at the bottom left corner in red.
I've got 3 to give away also
This is odd. I've had gmail for over two months now and have gotten exactly ONE invite to give away. Gave it to my bro...

I pm'd Leslie for an invite, but in case she doesn't have one, I'd love to have an invite. Paul_Valaru sent me one to a hotmail address that is set to exclusive on the junk mail and I lost it. :crying4: Now I've been wanting one for a while now. So if anyone has any to spare, send them on. PM me and I'll send you the email address to send it to. :D
it's sent :D

Obviously they didn't like him, and don't want to chance giving you the opportunity to invite any others like him;)
I've got six to share. *sends another hug to HomeLan for hooking her up in the first place*
Got six of em for ya. PM me.
Obviously they didn't like him, and don't want to chance giving you the opportunity to invite any others like him;)That is a scenario I had not previously considered. However, it is entirely possible and quite likely.
:winkkiss: Thank you! It's all set up! I'm so happy!!!!! :swing:
I was gonna invite you long ago...but Paul was having a "I want it all to myself, I don't want her to have one too" phase... :lloyd:

That will teach to you listen to Paul. Next time you do what you want and forget about the hubby!
I'm begging someone for a g-mail invite. It's actually for my mother who was using Juno; Juno deleted her account for some reason. I hate to be a begger...I shoo my dog away when he begs...but here I am!

I would LOOOOOVE a GMAIL invite if anyone feels generous enough to give me one...?
if all else fails, I'll resort to giving some kind gentleman with invites a booby-flash, now we can't let that happen, can we? :eyebrow:

Thanks for reminding me about Gmail. I hadn't logged in since at least the time I moved to Windows XP... and my last incoming message was in September. I still have 6 invites to give out... after having to wait and wait and wait some more for someone to get an invite to send to me.
Well I'm down to three now.....anyone else?

So exactly what is so damn exciting about gmail? I looked at their site and see that it's like a combination of yahoo mail and a google search. Am I missing some life altering added feature here? Looks like one of a hundred free email options, but with advertising on the right hand margin. Is that supposed to make my nipples hard or something? Does gmail take bloodstains out of carpet? Will it be the answer to all my unspoken prayers? Do chicks dig it? Will it make my sticker peck out? Would having a gmail account to call my own make me the envy of surfers and barmaids the world over?

It only bad if people object, so if your cute there will be no problems.
If you're some beer-gut fat-man with a facade of being a a cute gurl, there would be problems.
live dangerously
..... Will it make my sticker peck out?

Its an alternative to AOL and Micro$oft.....that and its better than the pair of them stuck together for fuctionality and inbox size (which is the main selling point for me, as I have friends who insist on sending mails in the 750kb region).

OK, I can buy that I suppose. But why for the love of fresh fruit does it require an invitation? Is this their marketing ploy, in that it induces one to think that because I need to be referred it must be better?
I'm simply trying to figure this out. It seems to be all the rave, [SnP sarcasm] and God knows I'm a slave to fashion. [/SnP sarcasm]
The catch, man....what's the catch?

The invite is so they can control the amount of accounts. Whenever they are able to handle more accounts they distribute invites to current members based on some unknown algorithm. If an invite is not sent out it sits there waiting to be sent out for an unknown length of time...if one is sent out but not used in 10 days or so I think it goes back into the main bank to be distributed again on the next go around.
It's still in beta. They're slowly growing it as they can handle it, and making a want factor at the same time. Brilliant.

Try distributed marketting, Nix. If you click any of their links, it is assumed that anyone you're sent an invite to will have similar interests, and will wind up on that marketting list.
I haven't seen any ads in any of my mails yet

Neither have I, and I have ten accounts. No false positives either.
They just want those of us who don't overindulge in email to feel embarassed don't they?

I love how they just doubled the e-mail capacity over 2GB! And there is no end in sight! http://smilies.xibase.com/headbng2.gif
It's been going down a little too often for my taste lately. I hope they fix that soon.
